John Sutherland Creech

Sutherland Creech Dead

Word was received here this morning by relatives to the effect that Sutherland Creech had died at the Baptist Hospital in Houston at 6 o’clock.

Some days ago the lad, accompanied by his mother, his aunt, Mrs. Jimmie Norton, and his grandfather, Mr. John Sutherland, was taken to Houston where an operation for mastoid glands was found imperative.

Sutherland was about 13 years of age, was very popular with playmates and liked by the older ones who knew him. His death has caused much sorrow in the city and is the source of many expressions of sympathy and regret. He had made his home for the past several years with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Sutherland, and proved a great pleasure and comfort to them. The sorrowing hearts of saddened friends are burdened with their’s in their affliction.

At press time we have received no plans for the funeral.
