Mason Christmas - 2010

Memories
memories. So many memories. I love the Court House. I have it as the
wallpaper on my computer and on my cell phone too. Growing up just a
block off the square I remember the clock striking the time. I remember
when the Willow Creek Cafe was the Eckert Ford Dealer. When I
went to the picture show on Saturday I had to give Mr. Otto Schmidt a
dime. I miss the Fort Mason Hotel four stories. I remember Roy
Bratton's drug store there. You could drive up and they would bring
your Coke out to the car. My great grandfather, Robert Zesch, was a
charter member at St Paul's Lutheran Church. I remember the fire trucks
burning up and the building of the new fire station by the Court House.
My dad, Bert, was one of the volunteer firemen and I was the mascot for
the department. I remember the opening night, I got to slide down the
pole. B Don Zesch <[email protected]>
