OLD PHOTOS pg 2 click here

Pages slow to load, please be patient, thank you.

Here we hope to display any old photos of Llano folks. Please consider donating any that you may have. If they are single photographs as the one displayed below, please label it & tell us a little about the subject in it. If you have numerous photos we will attempt to do a "family album" slide-show in which to showcase your pictures. But again remember to label each one with a title as you wish it to be known as & tell us if they should be in any particular order.

Who am I? Do you know me? My photo says I am Miss or Mrs. Tommie Borders. I was a school teacher in the class year of 1901-1902 for what is called Moore's Chapel School according to the Llano history book titled "Llano Gem of the Hill Country" by Wilburn Oatman. Does anyone recognize this lady? If so please contact the current Llano County TXGenWeb page Coordinator Deb.

Below: This photo was found among the belongings of Roberta Beth Law-Sanders. Who are we? We lived in neighboring counties of Burnet, Williamson & Bell. This photo can also be seen on the Burnet Co pg. Does anyone from Llano Co recall who we might be? Please contact the Llano Co Coordinator if you recognize any of these people.

PHOTO OF LADIES ON THE LLANO RIVER

Submitted by "Linda Barton""
She says:

This would have been sent to my McLean family in Fayette County, Georgia from the descendants of Hiram Hampton McLean.  Probably from his daughter,
Georgia McLean Spears of Llano.  She married Samuel Spears who at one time
was a partner in a law firm with John Hiram McLean of Llano.  They had two
daughters, Helen and Lois M.  I believe the Helen identified in photo is
their daughter.  She was born ca 1895 so this photo is ca 1899/1900 or so.

The writing in pencil around the photo edge says "Mr. Hans Smith took the
vview of the Llano River"  "Misses 1)Horton 2) Edwards 3) Wallace 4) Helen".

{My note: I tried to enlarge this but it loses focus the larger it gets. Sorry}
