Edwards Lodge met at the Harmony Grove
Church located six miles south of Texarkana, Arkansas on Line
Ferry Road. This was a Union Church building with both Methodist
and Baptist meeting there on alternate Sundays.
The old building was a two-story structure
with high ceilings. The Masons, Woodman of the World, and Easter
Star used the top floor for a lodge room. It was heated by a wood-
burning stove. This building has long since been torn down and
replaced with a one-story brick church building constructed on the
same site.
The Masons held a 99-year lease on the
first building. The Woodman of the World helped the Masons to
finish the inside and in turn they were granted a 99-year lease to
the building but not the grounds.
The first meeting of the Edwards Lodge
