Located west of Texarkana on US Hwy. 67, 1/2
mile East of the East Fork of Elliott Creek & 1/2 mile south
of US Hwy. 67.
Without the kind help of Mr. Rubin Jordan. I would have never found these graves on 3 Mar 2005. Lots of changes since 1981.
Listed in 1981 Spring Genealogy
Quarterly.
The 1880 Census of this section of Bowie Co., p. 18, family #263 is A J. J. A. Walker and wife, living in the same house is W. M. Atwood, a widower with a 2 year old son named W.G. It is belived that the above graves are Atwoods. Rebecca died 12 mar 1880. A couple of months before the census. |
