Florine Jones kept a photo album
of her visit to Kerrville and vicinity during the early
part of the 20th century.
She died in her early twenties and left the album to her
friend, Gertrude (Hall) Clapp whose daughter, Mary Clapp
Woelper of Atlanta, Georgia, has provided these photos
to the Kerr Co. Genealogy Page. Mary's cousin,
Ricky Smith, scanned the photos for this page.
The album has been donated to the Kerr County Historical
Commission. Many of the pictures
are of a group of young people having a lot of fun in
Kerrville during the summer visit. Other
photos are of friends or family in familiar Kerr County
surroundings. Thanks to Mary Woelper and
Ricky Smith for sending these interesting pictures of
Kerrville in the 1904 - 1905 era. |
