FLETCHER, I.T. Jr. WT 2/c. Son of I.T. Fletcher. Entered Navy in 1943.  Trained at San Diego, CA. Served in S. Pacific, Saipan, Iwo Jima, Manila, Pearl Harbor, and Alaska. Has American Defense and Pacific Ribbons with battle stars and other honors.

Served in England with Bomb Group 8th Air Force. Has Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal, Purple Heart, and other honors.

FLIPPIN, Garth A. Pfc. Son of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Flippin, husband of the former Roberta Hargrave. Entered the Army 1944. Trained at Camp Wolters. Served in Italy and is now on duty at Ft Sam Houston. Has Good Conduct Medal, European Theatre with battle stars and other honors.

Served in France, Germany, Holland, England. Wounded in Action in July 1944 in France. Has ETO Ribbon, Purple Heart, and other honors.

FOSTER, Henry N. Pfc. Son of Mr. and Mrs. F. B. Foster, Dallas. Husband of the former Dorothy Murray. Entered the Marines in December 1942, trained at San Diego , CA. Served on Guadalcanal, Corregidor, Guam and other Pacific Islands.  Has Purple Heart, Pacific Combat ribbon with battle stars and other honors.  Wounded in action July 26, 1944 on Guam.

FOUSE, Olie D. Pfc. Son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fouse. Entered the service in November 1942 Trained with Army Infantry at Camp Robertson, Little Rock, AR.  Served in North Africa, and Italy. Has European Service ribbons, Bronze Star and battle stars and other honors.

FOX, Stanley H. RM 3/c. Son of Mr. and Mrs. George Fox. Entered the Navy in January 1944. Trained at the Naval Training Station, Radio School and San Diego, CA. Served in Hawaii, Carolines, and on Marshalls and Palau, Invasion of Okinaw a and Liberation of Philippines.

FREEMAN, Billy L. S/Sgt. Son of Mr. James E. Freeman. Entered the Army Air Corps August 1942. Trained at Salt Lake City, Utah. Served in England, Africa, and Germany. Has Purple Heart, DFC, Air Medal, Pres. Citation, and other honors. Wounded in action October 1943 at Vegesack, Germany.

FUNERBURK, William T. M/Sgt. Son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Funderburk, husband of the former Mrs. Nancy Watson, Charlotte, NC. Entered the Army Air Corps in February 1937. Trained at Ft Warren, WY, Morris Field, NC. Served in England.   Received Purple Heart, ETO Ribbon, Citation of Honor and other honors. Killed in action, England, May 27, 1953.
