Friday, September 12, 1986William B. Ellis Mr. William B. Ellis, 73, of Baytown died September 7, 1986 in a Baytown hospital. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown and at Marshall and Marshall in Whitney at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10 with Dr. Richard Steel of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church in Baytown officiating. Burial followed in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Whitney.
He was born April 8, 1913 near Whitney, the son of James and Allie Hill Ellis. He married May Latham December 12, 1936 and they moved to Baytown in 1941. He was a superintendent of the street department for the City of Baytown before retiring in 1977. He was member of the Cedar Bayou Baptist Church.
Mr. Ellis is survived by his wife, Mary, of Baytown; two sons, James Edward Ellis and Kenneth Lee Ellis, both of Baytown; a daughter-in-law, Paula Ellis of Baytown; one brother, W.D. Ellis of West; three sisters, Julia Clark of Joshua, Flossie Donohue of Elm Mott, Marie Deiterman of Lorena; two grandchildren, Chris and Kelley Ellis of Baytown and several nieces and nephews.
