ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the "FRIENDS" will be held on the 24th day of October, 2007 at 1:00 p. m.  at the old jail building, 201 E. Larkin, Athens, TX.

At this meeting, the Oral History project will be discussed.  This is such an important project.  As we all know, in the past, the history of our families and the history of our Country was passed down orally from grandfather to grandchild and grandchild to grandchild for generations. 

Because we live in such a fast paced world, we have lost so much history, just by not taking the time to record this information our friends and our families love to talk about.

If possible, please attend this meeting and bring your friends. Bring the names of people you think would be a candidate to be interviewed.

To become a member of  FRIENDS OF HENDERSON COUNTY HISTORICAL COMMISSION, simply come to the meeting, bring your checkbook, an annual membership costs only $25.00 for an individual, $50.00 for an entire family, or if you like, you can join for your business for $100.00, a lifetime membership is $500.00 .  This money will be used to purchase the CAMCORDERS, COMPUTER, DVD'S, and other equipment/ etc. necessary to get this project started.
