MR. and MRS. J. W. MOORE CELEBRATE FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Whitney, Texas--On Sunday, September 2, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Moore, long time residents of the Whitney section, celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary at their home with open house which was attended by a large gathering of their children and relatives and many of their friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Moore were married at Blum, September 4, 1895 by Rev. Robinson.

At the noon hour relatives gathered for lunch, and in the afternoon a large wedding cake and punch were served to friends who called.

Those present for the occasion were the following children; Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Moore and children, Rio Vista; Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Moore and daughter, Lubbock; Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Cheak and children, San Antonio; Mr. and Mrs. John Baugus and children, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Moore and children, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Moore and children, all of Whitney.

The following children were unable to attend: Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Reid and children, San Diego, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Allen Moore and children, Odessa; Mr. and Mrs. D. W. Moore and daughter, Waco.

Mrs. Lula Hardin, sister of Mrs. Moore, from Hillsboro was present.

Friends calling during the day were: Mrs. Gertrude Cantelou of Hillsboro; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Analey and Carl, Hillsboro; Mr. and Mrs. Clint Lowrey of Fort Worth; Miss Margie Boyd of Rio Vista; Seaman 1st Class and Mrs. Leon Moore, Corpus Christi.
