Liberty Grove Cemetery

Liberty Grove Cemetery

Liberty Grove Cemetery is located near West, Texas, on the McLennan and Hill County Line. View Map.  It is on private land, but accessible thru a dedicated road, Liberty Grove Rd. It is neat, well-kept and fenced. The earliest burial is in 1850 (which is one of the earliest found burials in McLennan County).   There appear to be many missing stones or unmarked graves.  It is also possible that there are simply many vacant spaces.  To the back of the cemetery, (behind the tree line) there are remnants of what appears to be the former community called Liberty Grove.  This inventory is current thru December 31, 2002.  Inventoried by The Wilson Sisters, Carol Anne Wilson and Diane (Dee) Wilson.
