I am searching for any information on the families of John Franklin PINKERTON and Collin Akin PINKERTON. They were brothers. Their parents were David Alexander PINKERTON and Rebecca AKIN. It is believed that the town of PINKERTON is named for them. They were living near the Pinkerton/Rule area around 1900-1920. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Wed, 26 Nov 1997 18:32:13 I have some more information on John F. Pinkerton. He was born in Gatesville, Coryell County, Texas. His mother, Rebecca Akin Pinkerton, died in 1866 in Coryell County, and his father, David Alexander Pinkerton, died in December 1869 in Coryell County. John had two daughters I am also searching for. His brother, Collin Akin Pinkerton, was supposedly married twice. I have been unable to verify this as he disappears between 1870 and 1910. If needed, I can send a copy of my Pinkerton family tree. William Pleasant EDWARDS, was my gr-gr-gr-grandfather. According to his death certificate, he was born November 14,1853 in Perry Co., Tennessee. He was the son of David EDWARDS and Amanda GOODWIN EDWARDS. He died in Haskell Co., Texas on June 23, 1936. I know from census records he lived in Wayne Co., Tennessee until 1910 and then he and his wife, Nancy Caroline LEWIS EDWARDS dissappear until he dies in Haskell, County. I cannot find where his wife dies or is buried. Need to know if his wife is buried in the same cemetery or near that location. Also need to rule out the possibility she could have died in Tennessee and then he moved to Texas. Any individual with info. or willing to do a cemetery look up please reply. E.M. Durst and family left Rochester for California in 1938 timeframe......his sister, Alama Durst Reid lived in the area nearby....looking for her children and grandchildren's info. Also, the Thompson family from around Rule, as Lucile married Lawrence Durst. Hubert Durst married Lula Allen. Melvin Durst married Lilly Faye Shanks. My mother, Myrtie Mae Durst, married in California, Charles "Shorty" Hudson, from Knox City. In Rochester, Charlie G. Hudson, double uncle to "Shorty", and his family lived there, also. Any info. on Abe Greer, uncle to E.M. Durst.......sister, Rebecca May Ann Greer Durst, Ellot, died in Rochester 1902 (?), buried in Rochester cemetary. I am trying to locate where the children of Thomas L. Yates and Polly Ann Qualls Yates moved when they left Hashell Co. TX. Thomas Yates died in 1931 and is buried in O'brien Cemetery. Does anyone know where Polly Ann is buried? They had a son Arvil Yates married Mary Pierson . Daughter Ardina married W.I. Pierson. Thanks for any Help on this.

I am looking for information on John Henry Townsend b.July 13, 1865, married Angelina Bailey, and d. March 17, 1936 in Rule, Haskell Co. and buried in the City Cemetery. The only other information I have on John Henry Townsend is that his father and mother were Sherod and Martha Ann Townsend. I would like to know any other information you might have. My name is Sonja Bedford, I am looking for information on my grandmother who was born in Haskell in 1917.
Her name was EDNA IVY, and she had a lot of siblings, I think one was VERNON IVY. My mother
has not had contact with this part of her family for many years and would appreciate any
 information she could use to contact them, as we now know that Vernon has passed away and
