Billy Dale Pittman, 45, passed away in Abilene, Texas, January 9, 2012. Visitation is planned for Wednesday evening, January 11, 2012, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home in Rochester.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2012 in Rochester with Bro. Joseph Barrett officiating.   Burial will be at the Rochester Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Billy was born February 5, 1966, in Knox City to Billy Kenneth and Winnie (Goode) Pittman. He married Cathy Rose in Haskell on February 17, 1993, and has lived in Rochester most of his life. Billy was a shop foreman and fabricator with Smith Pipe of Abilene. He was a member of HOG, an avid welder and diesel mechanic. He enjoyed and was interested in anything to do with trucks and owned a trucking company.

He is preceded in death by his father, Billy Kenneth Pittman; two uncles, Ken Wolsch and Elmer Goode; his grandparents, Floyd and Bobbie Goode, Maudie Hargrave, and Charles William Pittman.

Billy is survived by his wife, Cathy Pittman of Rochester; his daughter, Tina Pittman of Rochester; a son, Colton Pittman and wife Adria of Haskell; two step-daughters, Shauna Caldwell and husband Jeffery, and Erica Schwind and husband George; his mother, Winnie Pittman of Rochester; a brother, Kenneth Pittman of Rochester; 5 sisters, Angela Campbell of Wichita Falls, Alicia Shaw of Rusk, Terry Hill of Rawls, Shirley Nichols of Akron, OH, and Karen Holmes of Corpus Christi; 9 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
