Estelle Miller, 87, of Brownfield passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at her home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Stan McNiel and Rev. Clarence Branch officiating.  Burial was at the Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield.

Estelle was born on July 4, 1922, in Haskell County to Clyde and Bertha McNiel. She moved to Brownfield with her family in the 1930s. She married William Oliver Miller on January 18, 1944, in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death May 6, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her son, Damon Miller. Estelle was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Estelle is survived by her daughter, Marietta Sooter and her husband Phil of Lubbock; her grandson, Shawn Sooter of Lubbock; her granddaughter, Kim Chitwood and her husband Jim of Henderson, Nev.; two step-granddaughters, Brigette Taylor and her husband David of Lubbock and Shockey Nail and her husband Ronnie of Blackwell; six great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and her brother, R.R. "Pete" McNiel.

The family suggests memorials to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund or VistaCare Hospice.
