Christina Wells Bruton, 90, passed away in Haskell, Texas, August 8, 2011. Services will be held at the Church of Christ at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011, in Haskell with Mr. Phillip Sims officiating. Burial will be at Willow Cemetery in Haskell under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.

Christina was born January 4, 1921, in Haskell County to William Fletcher Wells and Ola Windsor. She married Robert O. Bruton in Stamford, Texas on July 12, 1941, and has lived in Haskell all her life. Christina was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty Bruton of Haskell, Texas; brother Wayne Wells of Paint Creek, Texas; 8 nieces and 7 nephews.
 
Christina is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert O. Bruton; 3 brothers, Windsor Wells, Layne Wells, and Gene Wells; and a sister Oleta Wells Bailey. Memorials can be made to Texas Rehabilitation, Heart Fund, or Diabetes Foundation.
