Geraldine Euphame "Jerre" Bayless, 67, passed away in Haskell, Texas, September 9, 2011. Services will be held at the Eastside Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 in Haskell with Rev. Jay Beerley officiating. Burial will be at Willow Cemetery in Haskell under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes.
Jerre was born February 18, 1944 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Hesser Arthur Bayless and Lydia Euphame Pruitt. She was retired from the Stamford Wal-Mart and had lived in Arlington, TX for 33 years prior to moving back to Haskell in 2003. Jerre was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Jerre is survived by one son, Thomas Harlan of Arlington, TX; one daughter, Jo Ellen Harlan of Knoxville, TN; one sister, Jo Ann Grant of Haskell; seven grandchildren, Zachary Harlan, Austin Sumrall, J.D. Harlan, Houston Sumrall, Lydia Sumrall, Faith Harlan, Robert Carter Harlan; one great grandson, Christopher; and her special relationship with Gay Harlan. She leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Jamie Harlan, both set of grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.
