Services to celebrate the
life of Nadra V. Baros, 79,
will be held Monday, Nov. 7,
2011, at 1 p.m. in
Resthaven's Abbey Chapel.
After a courageous
three-year battle with
cancer, Nadra passed away
Thursday, Nov. 3, at her
home in Haskell, Texas. She
was born in Ennis, Texas, to
Jack and Addie Sain on Oct.
6, 1932.
Nadra was the beloved wife of Marvin J. Baros, and they celebrated 58 years of marriage on March 28, 2011. Nadra was a housewife and loving mother for many years, then with her husband owned and operated ABC Nursery School in Lubbock for 11 years before retiring. She dedicated her life to her family and any children in need. Nadra loved traveling and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Belinda Waters and her husband Jim of Ransom Canyon; three sons, Jerry of Stamford, Kevin of Greeley, Colo., and Kent of Anson; daughter, Kim of Anson; and grandchildren, Linzy, Mycki, Matthew and Tara. She is also survived by many loving sisters- and brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Joe Arrington Cancer Center. The family will receive friends at Resthaven today from 3 to 5 p.m.
