VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED.  Do you have books, journals, records, CD's pertaining to Harris County, or a locality associated with Harris County? Volunteer to help others.  Perform lookups for those seeking lost family and friends.  It requires little of your time, and can be performed for the most part, via email.  Please contact me for more details if you have an interest.  Douglas Anderson

When requesting a lookup, please follow these guidelines.

1. Put Harris County Lookup in subject of message.
2. Put name of publication in first line of message.
3. Limit your request to 1 or 2 specific names.

Our volunteers have agreed to do a free genealogy research task at least once per month in their local area as an act of kindness. While the volunteers of Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness (RAOGK) have agreed to donate their time for free, you MUST PAY the volunteer for his/her expenses in fulfilling your request (copies, printing fees, postage, film or video tape, parking fees, etc.) ....
