Butler Rites Wednesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Caroline Butler, 93, were conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Spearman Union Church.

Services were conducted by the Rev. George Bollinger, pastor.

Boxwells directed the interment in Hansford Cemetery.

Mrs. Butler died in Hansford Hospital October 12.

She had been making her home in Pioneer Manor.

She had lived in Spearman 18 years.

Sallie Caroline Smith was born in Phelps Co., Mo., March 3, 1872, the dughter of Mr. & Mrs. Albert Smith.

Survivors include one son, Sherman Giddens of Houston, AR., two daughters, Mrs. Alberta Estes of Gruver and Mrs. Paul Taylor of Spearman, 20 grandchildren, 44 grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ernest Sluder, Orville Fullbright, J.T. Pond, James Martin, Chip Martin, and Jesse Francis.
