Starcke Furniture Co, displays gown

Starcke Furniture Co. displays "Spirit of Independence" gown
In the window of Starcke Furniture Company is the beautiful gown worn by the former Julie Naumann in the Court of Patriotism, an annual event of the San Antonio Lutheran Charity Coronation Assn.
The gown which depicts "The Spirit of Independence," was designed with a replica of Independence Hall Featuring a royal blue military type jacket, full skirt and train.
The train has a red metallic cloth building with black satin roof and windows.  White satin outlines the window trim, fence and dome, with sequins and stars accentuating the skirt and train.
The headpiece was made of blue velvet with gold and silver trim.  Mrs. Bornie Davenport, of Calif. (the former Miss Naumann) carries a quill.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Naumann.  Mrs. Naumann made the gown herself.
The Naumanns have put the gown on display.
