As of 2010, with the much-appreciated participation of Jane Jahns Rice, all existing headstones in San Geronimo were photographed and listed. If you know of someone not included in the list who is buried in San Geronimo, please let me know because they may not have a headstone.

Donna found (so far) eleven graves in San Geronimo that have the somewhat rare and unusual zinc markers manufactured by Monumental Bronze Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut between the 1870s and early 1900s.  These markers were offered as low cost alternatives to bronze.  Since they were hollow, they were said to have been used by prohibitionists and outlaws as contraband stashes.  They never really caught on, people of the time thinking that "low-cost" also meant poor quality.  Ironically, they have proved themselves favorably up against bronze, granite and even marble, being still as sharp as the day they were made.
 She created a "virtual cemetery" at Find-A-Grave that shows a collection of these "zinkers".  The link is below:
