Jethro Ballard Howell lived in Grimes County, Texas in the 1870 census. His wife Frances Stanfield died in Perry Co, AL before he came to Texas.
Jethro married second to Virginia Dollins Goldman. She had previously been married to Joseph Goldman and had two children Robert and James Goldman.
Jethro B. Howell lived in Cass Co, TX on the 1880 census and his wife Virginia lived in Brazos Co, TX. She had two more Howell Children: Clarence and Clover Howell, twins born in 1872.
By 1910, Clarence Howell was back in Grimes County, TX. He had a wife named Kate and children: son named Therman or Sherman, daughters: Virginia and Mable.
In 1920 and 1930, Clarence Howell was living alone as a widower. The children were gone. What happened to them?
