In conjunction with the Boerne Texas Sesquicentennial , the Genealogical Society of Kendall County is sponsoring the First Families of Kendall County project.  Founding Family Awards will be presented to applicants who prove descent from ancestors residing in Kendall County by 31 December, 1862.  Early Settlers Award will be presented to those who prove descent from an ancestor residing in Kendall County between 1 January, 1863  and 31 December, 1900.
