Thomas Jefferson 'Tom' Blacklock was born April 21, 1893.  He was the oldest son of 6 sons and a daughter born to Clark Wilson and Amanda Lou Edwards Blacklock in Callahan  Co., TX.  He was raised in Coryell Co. TX where he met and married  Fannie Miller, daughter of  William M. and Mattie Moore Miller of Coryell Co. TX.  They married Sept 10, 1911 in Levita, Coryell Co., TX.

Tom helped his dad farm until his dad's death in 1920 in Coryell Co.  They then moved to Waco,  then back to Coryell Co., TX.  Children born to this family was:  Roy Lee, Durwood Elmo, Ruby Nell, Francis Pauline and Bessie Claudine.

About 1930 they moved to Garza Co., TX, where three of his brothers were going, Pat, Bunt and Virge.  I don't remember Uncle Tom farming in Garza County, I do know that he was the janitor at the county courthouse for many years, retiring from that job about 1960 or so.  Aunt Fannie was a homemaker.

Uncle Tom and Aunt Fannie along with their daughter Ruby Nell Davis and her husband and son, are buried in Terrace Cemetery.  Tom died of heart problems Feb 28, 1973 in Lubbock, Aunt Fannie July 2, 1975 in Post.  Ruby Nell died July 1996 in Post, her husband T.F, just died this year (2004).
Roy Lee died in 1987 and is buried In Hubbard, Hill County.  Durwood Elmo was killed in a car accident April 5, 1961 in Bakersfield, CA, he is buried in Taft, CA. Pauline and Claudine both reside in California at present, (2004).
