Contents of the Book/CD:

There are 419 pages in this book.

Pages 1-28 cover information about the Civil War: Pictures, Articles, and Stories.

Pages 29-419 cover information on Civil War veterans that have ties to Foard County, Texas.  The Veterans are alphabetized by their surname, then their given name.  This information about them is compiled from news articles, researches and family lore.  Many entries will have pictures accompanying them.  A few entries did not actually live in Foard County, but have left a heritage here through their families who did settle here.  Some of these were the Carroll family, the Rasor family and the Weatherred family.  Their descendants still inhabit the land in Foard County. There are 196 surname entries that have, in one way or another, left their mark in Foard County, Texas; 16 of these were Union soldiers.

At least 75 Civil War Veterans are buried in the Crowell Cemetery; there are others buried in the various other cemeteries in Foard County.
