THURMAN H. WINKLER // Thurman H. "Joe" Winkler, 49, died Sept. 2, at St. Mary's Hospital in Reno following an extended illness. // Mr. Winkler was born Sept. 20, 1936, in Borhan (sic - should read Bonham), TX to Roy and Clara Winkler.  He worked in Idaho as a field man for irrigation equipment companies.  In 1980 he came to Winnemucca. He was employed as a sprinkler salesman for Bob Davidson Electric, a parts man for Glennon Equipment and a salesman and engineer for Humboldt Pump and Drilling.  He was active as a member of the Big Sky Booster Teams, which sponsor and encourage football teams in that conference. // Mr. Winkler is survived by an aunt and two cousins in Denison, TX.  (sic) // His remains were cremated under the direction of Walton's Funeral Home in Reno.  A memorial service will be held at the Winnemucca United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday. 
(Contributor's Note: Thurman "Joe" Winkler was born at Ravenna, Fannin Co., TX. His obit did not mention  most of his cousins or some of his aunts.
