SAVOY - Ed L. Winkler, 74, died in a Sherman hospital at noon Monday, June 18, 1973.  // Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Seigler, Baptist minister, and Allen Henderson, Church of Christ minister, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  // Mr. Winkler was born March 4 1898 in Fannin Co., son of Mr. and Mrs. Will Winkler. // He married Lily Bryson Oct. 15, 1922 in the Parker Grove Community.  // He farmed and worked in Sherman.  // Survivors are his wife of the home and one son, Alton Winkler
of Savoy, five daughters, Mrs. John Ray and Mrs. Bennie Elk of Denison, and Mrs. Eugene Hensley, Mrs. Leon Hughes, and Mrs. Leo Brooks, all of Savoy; one brother. Walter Winkler of Ravenna, 13 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.  // Grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.  // Members of the family will be at the funeral home tonight between 7:30 and 9:00 o'clock to receive friends.
