RITES SUNDAY FOR SPENCE ROBINSON - Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at the first Baptist church for Spence Robinson, 60 years old, who passed away early Thursday morning in Dallas.
   He has been in ill health for the past 12 months suffering from the
incurable disease of leukemia.  He was confined to his home for two weeks
before being moved to the Maxfield's clinic in Dallas three weeks ago.
   Deceased was born in Whitewright, Texas, but had made his home in this
vicinity for many years.  He has many friends in Love County and was
well-known and well-liked among traders, farmers, cattlemen, and
businessmen.  During the two weeks that he was confined to his home many of
his friends visited him and although knowing that he would live but a short
time he was very cheerful.
   Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Edna Mae Mobley of
Kilgore, Texas; two grandchildren; two brothers, George Robinson of Vernon,
Texas; and Jim Robinson of Whitewright, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Kate
Trigg, Wichita Falls; Mrs. Ethel Brown of Thackerville; and Mrs. Ed Harvey
of Dallas; and one niece, Mrs. Ancel Smoot of Gamesville (sic - this is
probably Gainesville, Tx.  This paper contained several references to locals
going to Gainesville, TX.)
   Burial will be in the Lake View cemetery with all arrangements in charge
of the Goodrich funeral home.   (Spencer Robinson was the son of Major Lee
Robinson and Temperance Blanton, who are believed to be buried in the Reed
Cemetery, Gainesville, Cook Co., TX.  Spence's maternal grandparents were
Josiah Blanton and Lucy Westbrook,, who are buried in the Porter's Chapel
Cemetery, Fannin Co., TX.)
