Dr. Relyea was born in Skaneateles, N.Y. and was educated at Clinton Louisiana. He began the study of medicine in 1877, with Dr. J.F. Hooks, of Paris, Tx., and graduated at the Louisville Medical College, Louisville, Kentucky in 1881 where he received a medal as best student of anatomy, and high honors. After graduation, he began his practice in Ladonia, TX. where he resided until his death. This is the home Dr. Relyea built in 1902 in Ladonia, Tx. today.
