Ravenna was founded around 1850 and
got its name from
the many ravines that dotted the
area including one right
down the middle of town. It was incorporated
in 1888.One
of the first settlers was Alonzo
Larkin, a circus clown from
New York. He became a live stock
trader and died in 1863.

1870's In 1879 Ravenna College was moved
