this appears to be printing from late 1800's or very early 1900's
"This afternoon Z. Parker about
70 years, was struck by backing cars in the yards of the Texas and Pacific
railway and injured, from the effects of which he died about 5:30 o'clock.
The switchman says that he noticed the old man probably fifty yards
before he was struck, but expected him to step aside. Freedie Sunderland
a Dallas News Carrier saw the old man
and hallooed to him, but he did not seem to hear the warning."
"The right leg was crushed to a pulp below
the knee, the right ear is terribly lacerated and out, while the
right shoulder is crushed. The deceased was formerly a Methodist clergyman,
but has been engaged in doing odd jobs of work about the town and was living
with his daughter, Mrs. Jack Martin ,712 North Maxey Street. "
