JOE L. COLE
   Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dannel and Horton Chapel
for Joe L. Cole, 76, retired car salesman, who died late Sunday in a Sherman
hospital following an extended illness.  Dr. Tom Brandon of First Baptist
Church will officiate and burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
   Born in Randolph, he was the son of J.B. and Birdie Cooper Cole.  He had
lived here most of his life and attended Sherman schools.  He worked as a
car salesman for 43 years.  He was with Davis Motor Company for 23 years and
retired from Young Motor Co. about 10 years ago.  He was a member of First
Baptist Church and Keystone Bible Class.
   He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Reynolds of Sherman.
   Pallbearers will be Leon Clark, Bill Palmer, Harm Frey, Leonard Rea, Fred
Mooty, and Victory Browning.
   The family will be at the residence, 1703 Walnut.
   (Joe Lawrence Cole was the grandson of Joseph D. Cooper and Virginia E.M."Jane" Boone and he was the great-grandson of Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)

WILLIAM S. SAVAGE
   Funeral services for William S. Savage, 72, of 3929 Doris Drive, who died
Sunday at his home, will be at 10 a.m. today in the First Baptist Church of
Spade.  The Rev. J. J. Terry, pastor, will officiate.
   Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. today at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo
with Dr. Winfred Moore, pastor of the First Baptist Church here,
officiating.
   Burial will be by the Hammons Funeral Home of Littlefield.   Local
arrangements were by Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors.
   A native of Gober, Tex., he operated a butane business at Spade before
moving to Amarillo five years ago.
   Survivors include his wife; a son, two daughters, two sisters, seven
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   (William Spurgeon Savage married Mattie Cooper, the daughter of Albert
Fisher Cooper and Minnie Byars and the granddaughter of Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)

MRS. MATTIE SAVAGE
   Mrs. Mattie Savage, 84, of the Olsen Manor Nursing Home, died yesterday.
   Graveside services will be at 2 p.m.. tomorrow at Llano Cemetery with Dr.
Winfred Moore, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Arrangements
are by Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel.
   Mrs. Savage, born in Randolph, moved to Amarillo in 1964.  She was a
member of First Baptist Church.
   Survivors include a son, A.H. Savage of Amarillo; two daughters, Mildred
Denny of Colton, Calif., and Mattie Squires of Arvada, Colo., seven
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
   (Mattie Cooper was the widow of William Spurgeon Savage.  She was the
daughter of Albert Fisher Cooper and Minnie Byars and the granddaughter of
Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)

ALBERT H. SAVAGE
   Albert H. Savage, 69, of 1311 N. Lincoln, died Thursday.
   Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Llano Mausoleum Chapel with Dr.
Winfred Moore, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will be
in Llano Cemetery by Blackburn-Shaw Memorial Chapel.
   Mr. Savage, born in Achille, Okla., had lived in Amarillo since 1949.  He
was married to Sue Oney in 1938 at Amarillo.  He was a retired railroad
engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad.
   Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Alberta Page of Dallas; a son,
William Edward Savage of Fritch; two sisters, Mildred Denny of Riverside,
Calif., and Mattie Earl Squires of Arvada, Colo.; and three grandchildren.
   (Albert H. Savage was the son of William Spurgeon Savage and Mattie
Cooper; he was the grandson of Albert Fisher Cooper and Minnie Byars and the great-grandson of Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)

OLA SUE SAVAGE
   Ola Sue Savage (nee Ola Ray "Sue" Oney), 78, formerly of Amarillo, died
Friday, June 18, 1999, in Grapevine.
   Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Llano Mausoleum with the Rev. Lynn
Garrett, Minister of Senior Adults at First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Blackbury-Shaw Funeral Directors
Memorial Chapel, Fifth Avenue and Pierce Street.
   Mrs. Savage was born in Canadian and lived in Amarillo from 1936 until
she moved to Keller in 1988.  She was a homemaker and a Baptist.
   She married Albert H. Savage in 1938 at Amarillo.  He died in 1988.
   Survivors include a daughter, Alberta Pate of New Orleans; a son, William
Edward Savage of Fritch; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   (Ola Ray Oney Savage's nickname was Sue; she signed most legal documents as Ola Sue Savage.  Her husband, Albert H. Savage, was the son of William Spurgeon Savage and Mattie Cooper and the grandson of Albert Fisher Cooper and Minnie Byars and the great-grandson of Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)
