ERNEST BRISTER RITES HELD TODAY
   BOKCHITO - Funeral rites were held at the Caddo Pentecostal church at 2 p.m. today for Ernest Samuel Brister, 72, retired Bryan county farmer, who died at Ada Saturday after an illness of three weeks.
   Services were conducted by Rev. Roy McBride, assisted by Louise Kirk, and burial, under direction of Murray Funeral service, was in the Caddo cemetery.
  Pallbearers were glen Marlow, Ben Ammons, Tom Williams, Dooley Veal, Norman Wilson and Douglas Deel.
   A native of Kosciusko, Miss., Mr. Brister was born June 25, 1887.  He was married to Miss Sarah E. Hall at Leonard, Texas, September 7, 1914.  He had lived in Bryan county 30 years and was a member of the Holiness church.
  Survivors include his wife, four sons: Mims, Caddo; Loyd, Fort Worth, J.W., Borger, Texas, and Ray, Oakdale, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

DIES, RITE SET SARAH BRISTER
   Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Bokchito Free Holiness church for Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Brister, 81, Bokchito, who died Saturday at Wilson N. Jones hospital, Sherman.  The Rev. R. H. Brese will officiate with burial in the Caddo cemetery.
   Mrs. Brister was born in Leonard, Tex., in 1894 and lived 46 years in Bryan county.  She was a member of the Holiness faith.
   Survivors include sons, M.W., Caddo; Loyd, Hobbs, N.M.; J.W., Phillips, Tex., and Ray, Milpitas, Calif.  Two brothers also survive, Melvin Hall, Bokchito and Guy Hall, Hugo.

BRISTER, Thomas Ray - In San Jose, March 17, 1980, Husband of Tessie Brister of Milpitas.  Father of Lora Apodaca of San Jose, Michael Brister and Gary Brister both of Milpitas; 2 brothers and 3 grandchildren also survive.  A native of Landonia (sic - should be Ladonia), Texas, aged 55 years.
   Services Thursday, March 30 at 10 a.m. in Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto. Interment Lakewood Memorial Park.
  (Researcher's note: Thomas Ray Brister was the son of Ernest Brister and Sarah Elizabeth "Lizzie" Hall.  He was the grandson of Walter Lonzo Hall and Mary Ann Almira "Myra" Blanton and the g-grandson of Rev. Benjamin Franklin Blanton and Sarah L. Boone and of Richard N. Hall and Jane Elizabeth Jolly. Ray's gg-grandparents were Fannin County, TX pioneers Josiah Blanton and wife Lucy Westbrook and Fannin County, TX pioneers Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)
