MRS. OSCAR COOPER
   RANDOLPH, Texas.  -- Mrs. Oscar Cooper, 54 years old, died at her home
Tuesday at 1 a.m. from a stroke of paralysis.  Funeral services were held in
the Baptist church Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. R.L. Cates officiating.
Interment followed in Randolph cemetery.
   Surviving are her husband, a son and two daughters, Albert Cooper and
Misses Leola and Frances Cooper; and four brothers and four sisters.  She
was Miss Molly Baker before her marriage.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR OSCAR COOPER HELD TODAY
    Oscar Cooper, 66, a native of Fannin county, died at a Sherman hospital
Thursday following a lengthy illness.  He was born April 1, 1878 at Randolph
and had resided in that community all of his life.
     Survivors are one son, Albert L. Cooper, U. S. Army, two daughters,
Miss Frances and Leola Cooper, Randolph; one brother, Am (sic A.M. or Ammon)
Cooper, Sherman; three sisters, Mrs. Birdie Cole (nee Cooper), Sherman; Mrs.
Jennie Dyer (nee Virginia Cooper, Randolph; Mrs. Lillian Sharum (nee Lillian
Cooper), Muskogee, Okla., one nephew, Joe Cole, Sherman; seven nieces, Mrs.
Guy Reynolds (nee Myrtle Cole), Fort Worth; Miss Ivie Thomas Dyer (married
John William Dyer), Randolph; Mrs. Belle Johnson (Belle married Ed Johnson)
Randolph; Mrs. L. C. Harbough, McAlester, Okla.; Mrs. Virginia Wright and
Mrs. Mamie Johnson (nee Mamie Thomas), Muskogee, Okla.; Miss Ruth Thomas
grandmother's sister, Oklahoma City; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Pauline
Cooper, Randolph.
     Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. today at the First Methodist
church, Randolph, with the Reverends Thomas Reece and R. L. Cates
officiating.  Burial was in the Randolph cemetery, Mikel-Brown in charge.
Active Pallbearers were Tim Bledsoe, Homer Sauders, Guyan Stevens, Granville
Carpenter, Les Abernathy and J. B. Hyepock.  (researcher's note: Oscar S.

SERVICES PENDING FOR ALBERT L. COOPER
   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the Randolph Baptist
Church for Albert L. Cooper who died late Wednesday night in the Veterans
Hospital in McKinney.
   Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery with Rev. R.L. Cates and Rev.
Paul Washburn conducting the services.  Cooper Funeral Home in Bonham has
charge of the arrangements.  Mr. Cooper made his home with his aunt, Mrs.
J.B. Cole in Sherman.
   He was born April 18, 1912 in Randolph, Texas, the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar Cooper.
   Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Frances Dyer of Wolfe City, two aunts,
Mrs. Cole of Sherman and Mrs. Grover Dyer of Randolph and one uncle, A.M.
Cooper of Sherman.  (researcher's note:  Albert was affectionately know as
"Fishhook".  His tombstone reads, "TX PFC 827 CHEMICAL CO CWS WWII".  Albert
was the great-grandson of Fannin County, Texas pioneers Joseph R. Boone and
Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)

AMMON M. COOPER DIES; SERVICES SET SUNDAY
   Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Daniel Funeral Chapel
here for Ammon M. Cooper, of 1025 S. Maxey, who died Friday night in a
Sherman nursing home.
   Dr. Tom Brandon, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will conduct the
services.  Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.  Robert Evans, Warner
Evans, Dick Ringgold, Charles Yates, Burgess Buchanan and John Reid will be
the pallbearers.
   Mr. Cooper was born near Randolph and had lived in Sherman for the last
36 years.  On Sept. 15, 1950, he married Coralee Yates in McKinney.  He was
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cooper.  He was a member of the Baptist Church.
   Survivors are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Cole (nee Birdie Cooper)
of Sherman and Mrs. Grover Dyer (nee Virginia Cooper) of Randolph and

DYER
   LEONARD - Mrs. Virginia Dyer, 84, of Randolph died in a Bonham Nursing
Home at  9:20 A.M.
   Funeral services will be at the Randolph Baptist church at 2:30 p.m.
today with the Rev. O.R. Carry and the Rev. Bob Cantwell officiating.
   Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery with arrangements by Wise Funeral
Home of Bonham.
   Mrs. Dyer was born in the Randolph Community on May 6, 1886 and had been
a life-long resident of the area.  She was a member of the Randolph Baptist
Church.
   Survivors include the widower, Grover Dyer of Randolph; a sister, Mrs.
J.B. Cole of Sherman; a niece, Mrs. Ruth Burnett of Randolph; a great nephew

DYER SERVICES HELD TUESDAY
   Funeral services for Grover C. Dyer, 86, of Randolph were held at the
Randolph Baptist church Monday afternoon with the Rev. O.R. Carry and the
Rev. Bob Cantwell officiating.  Burial was in the Randolph cemetery with
Wise Funeral home directing.
   Mr. Dyer, a retired farmer, died in a Bonham nursing home Sunday morning,
May 2, 1971, following an extended illness.
   He was born Feb. 5,1885 at Randolph.  His wife, Virginia (nee Cooper),
preceded him in death Aug. 17, 1970.
   Mr. Dyer is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs.
Ruth Burnett, of Randolph, and a great niece and nephew, Beck and John
Burnett, of Randolph.
   Active pallbearers  were Joe Laughlin, Jack Byars, Robert Moore, Clyde
Jones, Dick West, Sr., and R.E. Bloackerby.
   He was a member of the Baptist church at Randolph.  (researcher's note:

MRS. BIRDIE COLE
   Mrs. Birdie Cole, 89, a Sherman resident for 52 years, died early Monday
morning in a Sherman Nursing Home following an extended illness.  Funeral
services will be Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 in the Dannel Funeral Chapel with
Rev. Dale Gore of the Trinity Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be in
West Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dannel and Son Funeral Home.
   Born Feb. 21, 1882, in Randolph, she was the daughter of Joe and Jane
Boone Cooper.  She was married to Jerry B. Cole (sic Jeremiah B. Cole) on
October 23, 1898 in Randolph, and in 1919 they moved to Sherman where they
have since made their home.  Mr. Cole preceded her in death on November 3,
1953.
   Mrs. Cole attended the Randolph schools and was an active member of the
Randolph Baptist Church, teaching a class for many years.  She was a member
of the Woodmen of the World.
   She is survived by a son, Joe Cole and a daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Reynolds,
both of Sherman and by several nieces.
   The family will be at the Dannel and Son Funeral Home Monday evening from
7 until 8.  At other times they will be at the family residence, 1713 S.

J.B. COLE DIES AT HOME HERE
   Jerry B. Cole (sic Jeremiah B. Cole), former cashier and office manager
of Interstate Cotton Oil Refining Co. (now Mrs. Tucker's Products), died at
his home, 1703 S. Walnut St., Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.  He was 80.
   Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Dannel Funeral
chapel, with Rev. Bob Cates of Collinsville officiating, assisted by Rev. Ed
Barcus, pastor of Travis St. Methodist Church.
   Burial under direction of Dannel Funeral Home will be in West Hill
Cemetery.
   Pallbearers will be W.S. Dorset, Bob Chambliss, Ernest Thompson, Clay
Briggle, C.H. Breedlove and Claude Whiteacre.
   Mr. Cole was born Oct. 13, 1873 in Smith Grove, Ky., and came to Texas
when he was 17.  He was married Oct. 23, 1898 at Randolph to Miss Birdie
Cooper.
   After coming to Sherman from Fannin County in 1919, he was associated
with Birge-Forbes Co. until 1922, when he joined Interstate Cotton Oil
Refining Co.  He retired in 1939.
   Survivors include his wife; one son, Joe Cole of Sherman; one daughter,
Mrs. Guy Reynolds, Little Rock, Ark., and two brothers, J.C. Cole and George
Cole, both of Bowling Green, Ky.  (researcher's note: Birdie Cooper Cole was

JOE L. COLE
   Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dannel and Horton Chapel
for Joe L. Cole (sic - Joe Lawrence Cole), 76, retired car salesman, who
died late Sunday in a Sherman hospital following an extended illness.  Dr.
Tom Brandon of First Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in
West Hill Cemetery.
   Born in Randolph, he was the son of J.B. and Birdie Cooper Cole.  He had
lived here most of his life and attended Sherman schools.  He worked as a
car salesman for 43 years.  He was with Davis Motor Company for 23 years and
retired from Young Motor Co. about 10 years ago.  He was a member of First
Baptist Church and Keystone Bible Class.
   He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Reynolds of Sherman.
   Pallbearers will be Leon Clark, Bill Palmer, Harm Frey, Leonard Rea, Fred
Mooty, and Victory Browning.
   The family will be at the residence, 1703 Walnut. (researcher's note:

SERVICE IS HELD FOR ALFRED DYER
   Services for Alfred Robert Dyer, 70, of Wolfe City were held at Wise
Funeral Home chapel at 3 o'clock, Tuesday afternoon.  He died in Greenville
Monday, Jan. 29, 1962.
   Conducting the services were the Rev. Ronald Howard and the Rev. R.L.
Cates, Methodist pastors.  Interment was in the Randolph cemetery with
nephews serving as pallbearers.
   Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Frances Dyer of Wolfe City; a brother,
Grover Dyer of Randolph; a sister Mrs. J. B. Boggess of Wolfe City and a
number of nieces and nephews.
   Mr. Dyer, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Dyer, was born at

FRANCES DYER
   Graveside services for Frances M. Dyer, 76, of Greenville, will be held
at 2 p.m. today at Randolph Cemetery in Randolph.  Rev. Ron Howard will
officiate.  Owens Funeral Home in Wolfe City is handling arrangements.
   Mrs. Dyer died Sunday at a Greenville nursing home.
   She was born to Oscar and Mollie Cooper on April 19, 1914, in Randolph.
She married Alfred Dyer on July 3, 1947.  She was a homemaker and is

MYRTLE REYNOLDS
   Services for Myrtle Elizabeth Cole Reynolds, 90-year-old homemaker and
longtime Sherman resident, will be held at 4 p.m. today in Dannel Funeral
Chapel.  She died Thursday at Medical Plaza Hospital.
   The Rev. Loftus Nunley of the First Baptist Church will officiate.
   Mrs. Reynolds was born in Randolph, the daughter of J.B. and Birdie
Cooper Cole, and attended school in Randolph.  On March 15, 1916, she
married Guy R. Reynolds in Randolph
   She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Phebean Sunday
school class.  She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star more
than 50 years.
   Surviving are her guardians, Zelma Allen, Allieree Clark and Gail Reid,
all of Sherman, and Mr. and Mrs. Louie Reynolds of Longview.
   Pallbearers will be Bernard Brede, Leon Calhoun, Bill Mize, O.L.
Prichard, Walter Snowden, and Fred Wusterhausen. (researcher's note: Myrtle

GUY REYNOLDS DIES; THURSDAY RITES SET
   Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Dannel Funeral
Chapel for Guy R. Reynolds, 66, of Sherman, who died at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in
a Sherman hospital.
   Rev. Tom Brandon of the First Baptist Church will conduct the services.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
   Mr. Reynolds was born June 30, 1896, in Mt. Vernon, the son of Mr. and
Mrs. John Reynolds.  He married Miss Myrtle Cole March 15, 1917, in
Randolph.  He was a retired train dispatcher for Rock Island Railroad with
46 years of service and a member of the First Baptist Church, the Masonic
Lodge and various other lodges.
   Pallbearers will be C.H. Breedlove, Less Huckaby, Ralph Lair, Floyd
Brent, E.A. Christie, Cecil Newbill, Maurice Sanders, Leon Brittain and Fred
Mooty.
   The family will be at the funeral home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Memorials may be sent to the Heart Association.
   Surviving him are his wife of Sherman; two brothers, Carl Reynolds of
Mississippi and T.J. Reynolds of Odessa, and three sisters, Mrs. E.D.
Williams of Tyler, Mrs. Morris Eufurd of Gilmer and Mrs. Lloyd Green of

MRS. LILLIAN SHARUM, RANDOLPH NATIVE, DIES
   Funeral service will be held Tuesday in the Agent Funeral Chapel in
Muskogee, Okla., for Mrs. Lillian Sharum, 62, of Muskogee.  She died Sunday
at 5 p.m. in a Sherman hospital.  Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery,
Muskogee, directed by Dannel Funeral Home.
   Mrs. Sharum was born in Randolph, Sept. 29, 1893, a daughter of the late
Joe and Jane Cooper.  She was a member of the Baptist Church and the
Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors.
   Survivors are her husband, Shirley W. Sharum of Muskogee, a brother,
Ammon Cooper of Sherman, and two sisters, Mrs. Grover Dyer (nee Virginia
Cooper) of Randolph and Mrs. J.B. Cole (nee Birdie Cooper) of Sherman.
