Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 pm at the Christian church for Jim H. Hulsey, who died Saturday at the Veterans' hospital at McKinney. The Rev. E.H. Brimberry of Arlington held the services.
Jim H. Hulsey was born Oct. 14,1888 north of Ladonia , the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Huse Hulsey and had lived here all his life.
He was a World War I veteran, a member of the Volunteer Fire Dept. 30 years and was an employee of the Union Produce Co, twenty years.
He is survived by his wife the former Kathleen Mitchell, two sons, William and Garry of Ladonia, step-daughter, Mrs. Joe B. Montgomery of Dallas, three brothers, J.H. Hulsey of Greenville, Millard Hulsey of Greenville, Ed Hulsey of Ladonia; two sisters, Mrs. Willie Buckner and Miss Zella Hulsey of Ladonia.
Interment was made in Ladonia Cemetery under the direction of the Delta Funeral Home.
Jim Hulsy, quiet, loyal, unobtrusive man that he was left behind friends unnumbered.
He was a regular attendant of the church of his faith, a man of high moral perception and holding to his motto,"Do unto others, as you would them do unto you"
During the service the minister gave Edgar Guest's "My Creed" which so fittingly applied to the life of Jim Hulsey.
