HALL, Richard Lee
   Passed away January 2, 2004 in Sacramento, California. He was a devoted
husband to his wife of 62 years, Beulah Hall and a loving father to Carol
Ann Kua "Jonathan" of Hawaii, Linda Joyce Hall of Washington, Gail Ann Clark "Jim" of Sacramento, and the late Wanda Jean Mariani. He had 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren, he was a loving brother to Retha Rushing, Oneta Norwood of Texas, and the late Alvin Hall. He graduated from Leonard High School, served in WWII in the Air Force for 22 years in France and Korea under General Patton, and was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant. He worked for the city of Richmond, CA, as a ground maintenance supervisor. His life long passion was playing baseball and was known as the "Willow Man" by his teammates and opponents. Born in Leonard, Texas, age 85.
   Memorial Services will be held at the North Sacramento United Methodist
Church, Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at 2PM, 650 El Camino Avenue, Sacramento,CA. Private Cremation will follow. Remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by North Sacramento Funeral Home. (Richard Lee Hall was the son of Joseph Franklin Hall and Edna Ann Latimer.  He was the grandson of John Franklin Hall and Josephine Evaline Blanton.  He was the great-grandson of Richard H. Hall and Jane Elizabeth Jolly and of Rev. Benjamin F. Blanton and Sarah L. Boone.  His gg-grandparents were Fannin Co., TX pioneers Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw and Josiah Blanton and Lucy Westbrook.)

JACK R. MURRAY SERVICES HERE SAT.
   Funeral services for Jack Robert Murray were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at
the First Baptist Church in Leonard.  Rev. James R. Swendenburg, Jr. pastor
of the church, officiated.
   Nephews were pallbearers and internment was made in Leonard Cemetery
under direction of Wilson Funeral Home.
   Mr. Murray was a native of Leonard, born October 4, 1911.  He had lived
in Colorado the past several years.  He died November 2, 1962 in Colorado.
   Survivors are his wife of Hot Sulphur Springs, Colo (sic ); a son Billy
Jack Murray of Snyder; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. J.R. Murray of
Bells; eight sisters, Mrs. Wesley Lucas, Mrs. C.W. Haliburton and Mrs. J.L.
Ford, all of Bells; Mrs. Buck Lyons, Leonard; Mrs. Lloyd Brown, Lubbock;
Mrs. B.B. Jones, Savoy; Mrs. Will Sarnes, Bakersfield, Calif.; Mrs. Floyd
Smith, Tuscaloosa, Ala; one brother, Calvin Murray, Dallas.

JACK MURRAY DIES IN SHOOTING HERE
   Jack Murray of Antlers, Oklahoma died as the result of a shooting at the
Balmain Lumber mill West of Kremmling last Friday evening, November 2.
   Grand County Sheriff C. H. Van Pelt and Dr. E. G. Ceriani of Kremmling
were called to the scene but Murray was dead upon their arrival.
   A coroner's inquest has been set for 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 9.
   Murray had been employed at the sawmill as a mechanic for the past two
months.
(Jack R. Murray, was the son of John Robert Murray and Ninnie Lee Tucker.
He married Ola Lee Blanton on 7-15-1933 in Durant, OK. Ola Lee Blanton was the daughter of Marion Thomas Blanton and Josephina N. Argenia Mathis aka Mathews).

should be Eugene Allen and Leroy Allen); grandparents, Mrs. Alica McCain and Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Partain, all of Fort Worth.  Arrangements pending.

   (Carley Joe Allen, a twin, drown while swimming in a gravel pit.  His
family lines "run deep" in Fannin Co., TX.  His mother was Marjorie Lorene
(aka Maggie Myrtle) Partain, born in Fannin County.  Carley's grandparents
were Birl Clemens Partain and Adelia Evelyn A. Spicer; his g-grandparents
were Aldine Evans Fanellan Spivey and Virginia Lucy Blanton and his
gg-grandparents were Joseph Livingston Spicer and Margaret Compton and the Rev. Benjamin Franklin Blanton and Sarah Lucretia Boone.)
