Queener died last week; pioneer of Randolph; born near Bluntsville, Sullivan Co., Tennessee, 28 May 1811; father John, Revolutionary War soldier; mother’s maiden name Lowry; both grandfathers from Germany; maternal grandfather John Lowry; 6’ 3" 180 pounds; Jas. C. fought Indian War of 1836, pensioner of that war; assisted in removal to reservation in Arkansas; married McMinn Co., Tenn. to Miss Liza True of Kentucky; 8 children, 4 survive:  James C., Jr. and T.T. of Randolph; Mrs. Narcissus Murphy of Stamford, Conn. and Mrs. John B. Cox of Madill, Okla.  Jno. C. Jr. eldest now 67; Mrs. Cox youngest at 55; Mrs. Queener died Randolph 26 Sept 1894 at 81;  Jas. C. Sr. too old for civil war; to Fannin Co. from Tn. 1875; paid $4.50/ac. for farm; chewed tobacco & "took a dram when he
felt like it"; Methodist.

Ragsdale; age 65; pioneer; died Tues., Soldier's Home, Austin Texas; nickname "White";  buried Austin; born Lamar Co.; parents Thomas & Amanda R.; in Bonham early 1850's; in Dallas in hotel business late 80's; for years auctioneer; brother is Judge Ragsdale of Greenville; survivors:  3 brothers and a sister

Fowler, wife of J.B. died 16 May, Denison; buried:  Virginia Point, Grayson Co.; born Oct. 1855; widow of J.W. Palmore, pioneer merchant of Ravenna, Palmore & Cunningham; survivors:  husband (#2) & 3 children of 1st marriage:  John W., Jr.; Mrs. Pearl Staats; Miss Virgie Palmore; member M.E. church South.

Abstracted from the "Bonham News" Fannin Co., Tx. 5 June 1908:   Mrs. Annie Smith, age 76, died Tues. at home of son J.J. on West 3rd St.; came "from New York State" in last 12 yrs. to county; daughter Miss Rose; buried Marshall.
 

Abstracted from the "Bonham News" Fannin Co., Tx. 5 June 1908:  Mrs. Jessie Standiford, would have been 75 on the 20th; died last week at home of son-in-law  W.T. Miller, 7 mi. so. of Bonham; about 40 yrs. old; huband deceased; survivors:  one child Mrs. W.T. Miller; adopted daughter Helen E. Erlawine.(She was Louisa J. Standford, bur. Moore's Chapel Cem.)

Crittenden, nickname "Tob", died Sunday; melancholia; buried family burying ground, south edge of town; election clerk & assistant; unmarried;  only sister deceased: Mrs. T.J. Anderson; survivors:  3 brothers:  R.B. of Ector; D.W. of Wellington & H.C. of Denison.

Fred Dennis & Chas. M. Schoonover.
