McAlester, Sunday; services Episcopal church; buried Willow Wild;
husband-son of Mr.and Mrs. E.W. Adams; husband's former wife Miss
Margaret Craigson of Kentucky; No children by this wife; 28 Jan:

Eliza Mercy Bowren died at the Carlton College home; services at 1st
Christian church, Rev. Schoover and J.H. Rosecrans; buried Willow
Wild; maiden name Carlton; youngest sister of late Eld. Chas.
Carlton.; born in Margate, England; 15 May 1838; to America with
parents 1854; to Springfield, Mo. upon parents death to live with
brother; there in 1858 married Mike Bowren; 2 children: son deceased
and daughter Mrs. W.G. Pierce of St. Paul, Minn.; to Texas
1875-Paris, Bonham, Sherman then to Denver, Colo. For 16 yrs.;
businesswoman; lost small fortune 1896; to Bonham 1897 to live with
brother and daughter. Was with daughter in San Francisco returning
just before ’06 quake; nephew and nieces Charles and Misses Grace and
Sallie Joe Carlton; expert needlewoman at one time employed in St.
Louis by excellent firm. Survivors: Brother Rev. Joshua Carlton of
Petosky, Michi.; sister Mrs. Pricilla Lane, Toronto, Canada

Williamson, native of Virginia & blacksmith; moved to Green County,
Kentucky; 11 children; oldest, Francis born 1822; mother died before
Francis was grown; married Obie Chaney 1845; youngest girl & sister
Harriet lived with them; raised 5 of own children; 4 living except
Jim; to Fannin Co. near Whitewright Dec. 1856; Mr. Chaney died 49
yrs. ago; lives with daughter Mrs. F. Vittitow.

Juliania Fulkerson died at home of daughter, Mrs. Virgie Massey,
Sunday; buried Willow Wild cem.; age 88; born east Tennessee 1820;
married J.P. Fulkerson 1842; celebrated golden wedding 1892; in
Bonham since 1872; Methodist; 11 children (7 girls, 4 boys); living
children: Henry F. of Houston; Charley of Dallas; Frank & Mrs. Virgie
Massey of Bonham; husband died 2/3 yrs ago.

"Savoy Star" Sketch of Mrs. Emily Koontz and photo; maiden name
Atkinson; born Charleston , Virginia, 13 Sept 1825; now 82 yrs. old;
tenth child of 11; after father died mother moved to Celina, Ohio;
there married Lorenzo D. McMahon 12 Sept 1844; 2 children, D.T. and
Mrs. Fannie Kinder now dec’d. Husband died 1848; moved to
Booneville, Mo.; married H.L. Koontz 1855; five children—all dead;
husband, son & brother in civil war; brother John Atkinson was
captain in the federal army; she and children were conveyed out of
Bates Co., Mo. After order Number 11 by his order; to Fannin
Co.,1867; partially paralyzed in 1896.

C. Morrison died at home of son-in-law, Albest Robinson this city
last Friday; age 68; resident of Trenton; buried Trenton; 3 children
survivors: Mrs. Albert Robinson this city; Mrs. C.P. Connelly of
Trenton; Will Morrison of Leonard.

children; 6 living—2 in this county;: Mrs. Carey Murphy of Bonham
and G.C. Newsom of Lannius; 2 sons & 2 daughters at Haskell

Lindsey Thomas died at Terrell, last Tues.; buried Bonham;, Willow

church; last 2 yrs. at Terrell

James Thomas died at home of sister Mrs. Lon Darwin, near
Kentuckytown, last Friday (1 week ago); native of Fannin; oldest
white person born in county; age abt 71; father Andrew Thomas first
white settler in Grayson Co.; noted Indian fighter; noted for size
and weight.

of Mrs. Jacky Wrenn with photo from "Savoy Star": Daughter of
Thomas Smith; born Pennsylvania, 19 Jan 1832; married Jas M. Wrenn
in Stockton, Missouri; 5 children (2 boys & 3 girls); husband
enlisted in CSA; shortly before end of war, she moved family to
Fannin County to old Mallory farm, later the Josh Pritchett farm.
Upon his return, moved to south of Savoy. He died 1888. Daughter
Mrs. Ingram
