home in Bonham, Sun; operation for blood poison in leg-civil war
bullet wound;services Rev. E.W. Williams, 1st Presbyterian Church;
burial Willow Wild Cem.; came from Virginia, born Wytheville, Va.
1838; member 4th Reg. later under Stonewall Jackson; 1842 m. Miss
Precilla Stevens; 7 children; survivors:  wife & children:    Geo.
V.,  John J., Kate, Sue,  Mrs. John Lillard of Paris; Mrs. P.J.
Welborne of Fort Worth and Rush of Bonham

home in Cottage Bend, Sun.; age 81; native of Illinois (?) to Texas
1879; owned part of old Taylor farm, 3 mi. west of Bonham; buried
Hampton graveyard; services Rev. W.M. Williams of Bonham.

Carrol Dyer died Tues at home in Orangeville; TB; survivors:  husband
and little daughter; parents Mr. & Mrs. Abner Brown of Randolph;
brothers & sisters; services Elder W.N. Carter; burial Burns cem.

Abstracted from "Bonham News"  2 Oct 1914:   (1st entry) B.N. Hunt
died yesterday, lived near Lamasco, buried there, undertaker Wise;
(2nd entry on 6 Oct)  Rev. E.M. Hunt from Eastland attending funeral
of brother G.W. Hunt who died at Allen Hosp.

Bonham; typhoid; became sick in Dallas; services:  Rev. Fount Jones
of Gainesville & Rev. S.M. Bennett of Ladonia; age 23; employed 1st
Nat'l Bank of Ladonia then Mechanic Trust Co. of Dallas; also real
estate; elder brother also died recently.

Whitewright died Sat. at home; paralysis; b. 20 Aug 1844; to Texas
from Alabama 63 yrs ago; joined CSA at 17; Co. C, 9th Texas, Ross'
Brigade, Jackson's Div.; in 1861; married Miss Bell Hill; son Dr.
R.L. Sears, survivors:  wife & 5 children:  Mrs. E.A. Randle of
Dallas, Bascom of Whitewright; Mrs. A.R. King of Ft. Worth; Mrs.
Landon C. Moore of Dallas; 3 sisters:  Mrs. Joe Harris; Mrs. Wm.
Pennington; Mrs. Martha Aldridge; brother John; services Revs. Finder
& Kirkpatrick; burial Oak Hill Cem.

Abstracted from "Bonham News" 29 Sept 1914:  G.F.M. Stephens (Uncle
Frank) died at home in Lannius, Sat.; buried Smyrna graveyard;
services:  Rev. Johnson, Methodist Church of Dodd City; Stephens
member of Cumberland Presbyterian church; came from Missouri early
1850s; last of 3 brothers, Hugh & Mick; married Miss Nannie Johnson
who died recnetly; age 82 and 1 week; childless but cared for
orphans.

Abstracted from "Bonham News"  2 Oct 1914:   Mrs. G.G. Ware died
Tues. at family residence on South 6th St.; consumption; services
Rev. B.F. Milam, burial Willow Wild Cem.; survivors:  husband & 2
children.

Abstracted from "Bonham News" 24 July 1914:  J.C. Woodall of Cooper
died at home yesterday, age 74; had lived in Kaufman Co. 18 yrs ago.

W.W. Wood; drown in gin pool, Sat.; swimmming with J.R. Rodgers &
sons; services :  Rev. Ashburn; burial Pleasant Hill Cem.

Abstracted from "Bonham News" 28 July 1914: "Trenton Tribune"  Mrs.
Mattie Dyer, wife of C.L. Dyer; died 14 July; TB, born this county;
daughter of Abner and Ella Bowen; married 11 Oct 1906; member
Christian Chruch; survivors:  husband and daughter; buried Burns
Cem.;' services Elder W.N. Carter.

Tues at home 1 miles south of Lester, age 25, survivors:  mother & 4
