OBITUARY:  Leonard Graphic, Friday, August 10, 1956
Mrs. C.D. McGregor, a prominent Celeste resident or may years ,died Sunday
afternoon, August 5, 1956, in a Greenville hospital, where she had been a
patient for more than two months.  / Final rites were held in the Celeste
Methodist Church Monday afternoon with Dr. W. Harrison Bake, pastor of the
Leonard Methodist Church, officiating.  Burial was made in Forest Park
cemetery at Greenville.  // pallbearers were Jacque Bickham, Harbert Byers,
Hubert McGuire, Hubert Shields, Clarence McGuire and Alfred McGuire.  //
Mrs. McGregor was born in Adamsville, Tenn., July 6, 1875, the daughter of
the late W.J.. and Ellen Roach.  She had spent most of her life in Celeste.
Her late husband was a well known Celeste businessman.  // Mrs. McGregor was the last member of her immediate family and her only survivors are cousins.

LOCAL WOMAN'S FATHER DIED IN BONHAM - Charlie Williams, 83, of Bonham, father of Mrs. Kinslow Hicks of Leonard, died Monday night, August 6, 1956,at Allen Memorial Hospital in Bonham following an extended illness.  //
Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Randolph
Baptist Church.  Rev. R.L. Cates, pastor of the Detroit Methodist Church,
Rev. R. Hawkins, Baptist minister and Henry Gilbert, Church of Christ
minister, officiated.  // Burial was made in the Randolph Cemetery under
direction of Wilson Funeral Home of Leonard. // Mr. Williams was a native of
Fannin County and had lived in the Randolph area where he farmed until his
retirement six years ago.  At that time he moved to Bonham and was residing
at 600 West 6th Street at the time of his death.  // Surviving are his wife;
a son, John H. Williams, Bonham; seven daughters, Miss Ellen Williams, and
Mrs. S. N. Campbell, Bonham; Mrs. Roger Hamilton, Ft. Worth; Mrs. Elbert
Bennett, Whitewright; Mrs. George Bishop and Mrs. Mazell Kent, Harlingen;
and Mrs. Kinslow Hicks, Leonard; ten grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren
