Mother Scott was a Christian in every acceptation
of the word and at the time of her death was a member of the M.E.Church
of Honey Grove. She professed religion in Mississippi 52 years ago, and
her life and principles have always been
in accptance with the teachings of Christ. there was no ostentation
in her religion, once a child of her Redeemer there was no retracing and
death to her was a culminating glory.A few days before her death she remarked
to a son "I am
perfectly ready to go, I have lived long enough and shall Welcome
the time of my going" Glorious resignation! And her home ?.... were
thus eased by her confidence
in Him who doeth all things well, Thet "So softly death .....?
The heart felt sympathy of a multitude of friends of the family who have
known Mother Scott for nigh onto half a century, were extended to them
in their time of bereavement
