DEATH NOTICE: Albuquerque Journal, Sunday, October 18, 1970 - MCLEAN - Mr.Otis Earl McLEAN, age 52, and a resident here 40 years, passed away Saturday evening in a local hospital following a long illness.  He is survived by his
wife, Toni, 112 Pleasant N.W.;  two sons, Gary McLean of Albuquerque, and
Sp/5 Len McLean in Japan; two daughters, Mrs. Nancy Adams in Wisconsin, and
Miss Mavis McLean of Albuquerque; three brothers, Ross McLean in Oregon,
Jack McLean in Albuquerque, and George McLean in Alaska; three sisters, Mrs.
Verba Bass and Ms. Cleo Clemments, both of Albuquerque, and Mrs. Esther
Arnold of Lubbock, Texas; and four grandchildren.  Mr. McLean was a member
of Montgomery Church of Christ, the Northside Lions Club, and George G.
Breece Post #401 VFW.  Service arrangements will be announced by Fitzgerald
and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle N.E.


OBITUARY: Albuquerque Journal, Monday, October 19, 1970 - McLEAN  - Services
for Mr. Otis E. McLean will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of
Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle N.E., with Mr. Harvey
Porter of Montgomery Church of Christ officiating.   Internment will follow
in Sunset Memorial Park.  Serving as escorts will be:  Lou Caldwell, Jr.,
Ernie McCord, frank Ortiz, Richard Simms, Jack Turner, and Delos Wells.
Fraternal Rites will be conducted at the graveside by members of George O.
Breece Post #401 VFW.
(researcher's comment:  Otis McLean was the son of George Leonard McLean and Grace Marie Blanton.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Blanton and Eliza Jane Smith.  His g-grandparents were Fannin County pioneers, Josiah Blanton and Lucy Westbrook .)

McLEAN - Jack McLean, age 90, a resident here since 1930 died Christmas Day
following an accident.  He is preceded in death by three brothers, three
sisters and two grandchildren (Scott Lawson McLean and Michael Jason
McLean).  He is survived by his wife Merle of 65 years; son, Jack and wife
Mary McLean; daughter, Linda and husband Dennis Williams of Syracuse, NY;
grandchildren DeeDee and husband Paul Jones, Tim McLean, Michele and husband
Hector Garcia, Kelly Kapela, Sandie McLean all of Albuquerque; 5 great
grandchildren.  Jack owned and operated the Shamrock Station on 4th Street
at Veranda over 50 years until his retirement in 1976.  He was a member of
the Northeast Church of Christ and an avid fisherman.  Services will be held
11:00 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors
with John Phillis minister of Northeast Church of Christ officiating.
Serving as casket bearers will be Don McLEAN, Tom McLean, Joe Roberts,
Hector Garcia, Paul Jones, Tim McLean and Charles Bass.  Memorial donations
may be made to Albuquerque Christian Childrens Home, 5700 Winter Haven Rd
NW, 87120 or Northeast Church of Christ Library Fund, 11000 Paseo del Norte
NE.  Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at
Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle NE .
(researcher's comments: Jack McLean's "real" name was Bennie Dee McLean, a name he disliked so much that he never used it, not even on legal documents.  Jack's parents were  George Leonard McLean and Grace Marie Blanton.  His maternal grandparents were Thomas Jefferson Blanton and Eliza Jane Smith.
