Lorraine deVilliers, 88, Bolivar, died at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 1998, at
Parkview Health Care Facility after a lingering illness. She was born Sept. 22, 1910,
in Pecan Gap, Texas, the daughter of George Thomas and Hattie Lee Mann Castle.
She was the widow of Herman E. deVilliers, who preceded her in death in 1989.
She had been a longtime resident of Sherman, Texas, moving to Bolivar in 1993.
She was a retired cosmetologist and a veteran of World War II in the Women's
Army Corps. Surviving is a sister, Lucille Peterson, Altus, Okla., and a niece, Lou
Kemp, Bolivar. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, in the
Oak Ridge Cemetery in Honey Grove, Texas, with Dr. Ronald Kemp officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Butler Funeral Home.
