'BILL' CHRISTIAN - Leonard - Mrs. Velma "Bill" Christian, 83-year-old newspaper correspondent of Leonard died Thursday at Campbell Care Nursing Home in Whitewright.  // Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Taylor Funeral Home Chapel, with the rev. Marvin Hancock and the rev. David Riley officiating.  Burial will be in Leonard Cemetery.  // Mrs. Christian was born in the Blanton Chapel community, the daughters of Charles Henry Blanton and Mattie Aldridge Blanton.  On Nov. 8, 1925, she married Guy Christian in Leonard.  // She had been a correspondent for the Sherman Democrat since 1966 and the Greenville Banner since 1962. She was a member of the first United Methodist Church in Leonard.  // Surviving are her sisters, Miss Ila Blanton of Leonard and Mrs. Juanita Hancock of Blanton Chapel; and brother, Lois Blanton of Blanton Chapel.  // Pallbearers
will be Ray Hall, Don Haggard, Theodore Vincent, Kenneth Thornton, Grady Teague and Paul Ray Latimer.
