Native of Fannin County. Born August 9, 1847. Son of Jackson and Artimissa Fance McFarland.Came to Texas from Illinois. Married Mary Jane Harper.

Henry L. Graves, vice president of the First National Bank, Ladonia, died Saturday morning at 3:30 o’clock. Burial at Ladonia, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock.

G. Mack Erwin, furniture store owner. Killed by accidental gunshot. Sons, John Henry, Billie Joe Erwin.

A.B. Bell, aged 33, suicide. Survived by wife and one daughter.

April 3, 1948

Rites held for soldier returned. 1st Lt. Albert J. Hafner, age 27, Marines. Died March 8, 1945 at Iwo Jima. Survived by mother, Mrs. Ruby E. Hafner.
