Ladonia Directory 1899 (Partial)
From the Ladonia News June 17, 1938
Old Directory is Interesting.
A copy of Fannin County directory published in1899 has a section for the city of Ladonia which contains the names off many of the early citizens and the officials of the city, the school, the secret orders, and the churches of Ladonia at that time. One interesting thing noticed was that  every residence was listed by street and number. At the present time many residents of the town do not know the names of the street on which they live and few residents in town have retained their numbers.
Some of the leading citizens at the time the directory was made up were as follows:
SCHOOL BOARD: T.B. Richards, President; J.D. Fraley, Secretary; C.W.T. Weldon, W.O. Nunn, W.B. Tipton, Dr. S.B. Neilson, and Dr. J.W. Parsons
TEACHERS: A.L. Malone, Supt, Mrs L. Bruce, Principal: Mrs. I.J. Walker, Lutie M. Shaw, Kate Lamberton, Lella Terry, and Nina Moore
CHURCHES: Baptist- J.T. Black, pastor. Methodist- S.C. Riddle, pastor. Presbyterian- [Cumberland] R.A. Gray, pastor.
FIREMEN: C.M. Richards- chief; C.M. Stanley, assistant chief, C.H. Weldon, treasurerTheo Fulgham, secretary.
