Hulsey Family

"An aunt of mine married Odis Eugene Hulsey of Ladonia. They
had one child who died without survivors. I inherited some of her photos.
I feel sure that the two I am sending concern the Hulseys. One is a family
(a word is written on the back that looks like it may be Harram) and the
other is of a home. If a family member can identify the people and would
like to have the original, I will certainly send it to them."

Caroline Derryberry before 1857; Harden died.

     Caroline DERRYBERRY. Caroline was born at Tennessee circa 1833. Caroline died.
     Children of Harden1 Hulsey and Caroline Derryberry all born at Texas were as follows:
   2    i. William M.2 HULSEY; William was born circa 1857; William died.
+ 3   ii. Charles M. HULSEY Sr, born circa 1859; married Mary Sherrill.
   4 iii. James H. HULSEY; James was born circa 1866; James died.

he married Mary Sherrill; Charles died at Fannin Co., Texas.

     Lela A. (--?--). Lela was born in 1893. Lela died in 1975. Her body was interred in 1975
at Ladonia, Fannin Co., Texas, at Ladonia Cemetery.

Fannin Co., Texas, 27 June 1914; he married Linnie Mae Melton at 1st Methodist Church,
Mineral Wells, Palo Pinto Co., Texas, 3 June 1942;
Odis was divorced from Linnie Mae Melton before 1968;
Odis died 17 March 1968 at Ladonia, Fannin Co., Texas, at age 53;
his body was interred 19 March 1968 at Ladonia, Fannin Co., Texas, at Presbyterian Cemetery.

     Odis E. Hulsey, Ladonia Retired Sergeant, Dies Funeral services for Odis
Eugene Hulsey, 54 - year old retired Army Sergeant, were held Tuesday afternoon, 2 o'clock at the First Methodist church in Ladonia with the Rev. Walter Zimmerman, pastor, officiating.
     Burial was in Presbyterian cemetery with Delta Funeral home of Ladonia in charge.
     Mr. Hulsey died Sunday morning, March 17, 1968, in the Bonham VA hospital following several months of illness.
     Born Jan. 27, 1914, in Ladonia, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Hulsey.
His mother, who lives in Ladonia, survives.
     Other survivors are one son, Terry, of Fort Worth, and one brother, Wiley Hulsey of Ladonia.
     Pallbearers were Albert Apple, Jr., Dick Welks, William Clements, Luther Issacs, W. C. Grant and Jack Apple.

Linnie Mae MELTON. Linnie was born at Celeste, Fannin Co., Texas, on 24 January 1910.
She was the daughter of Ollie Garfield Melton and Jennie Belle (Fuller) Melton.
Linnie died on 12 March 1993 at Fort Worth Nursing Center, Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas, at age 83.

Children of Odis Eugene4 Hulsey and Linnie Mae Melton were:
9 i. Terry Gene5 HULSEY; Terry was born at Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas, 26 January 1948.
Terry died 26 July 2000 at Newark, Wise Co., Texas, at age 52.

7. Louise4 HULSEY (Charles3, Charles2, Harden1); Louise was born at Fannin Co., Texas,
16 January 1916; she married A. B. Beall before 1931; Louise died 7 December 1942 at age 26;
her body was interred 1942 at Ladonia, Fannin Co., Texas, at Ladonia Cemetery.

Children of Louise4 Hulsey and A. B. Beall were:
+ 10 i. Charlsie Don5 BEALL, born 4 March 1932 at Fannin Co., Texas;
married William Earl Woodruff.

Generation Five

10. Charlsie Don5 BEALL (Louise4Hulsey, Charles3, Charles2, Harden1);
Charlsie was born at Fannin Co., Texas, 4 March 1932; she married William Earl Woodruff;
Charlsie died 20 October 1990 at Hunt Co., Texas, at age 58.

William Earl WOODRUFF was born on 9 November 1921 at Hunt Co., Texas.
He died on 5 September 1976 at Greenville, Hunt Co., Texas, at age 54.
