Technical Sergeant Kello F. Hawkins was killed in the invasion of France on July 14th, according to a message received Tuesday morning by his parents from the War Department.
  Last week a message came to them stating that he was wounded, but this later message brings deep sorrow to his parents and his friends.
  Kellow was born in Scott County, Ark., February 1,1921, and was 23 years of age. He attended the Honey Grove Schools, and enlisted in the armed services November 31,1942. All of his training was at Camp Barkeley, Abilene. His parents Mr. & Mrs. F. Hawkins
came to Honey Grove about fifteen years ago. Some months ago they moved to Brookston. Here is the full text of the message received: "The secretary desires me to express his deep regret in the loss of your son, T.Sgt. Kello F. Hawkins, who was formerly reported seriously wounded in action. Corrected report now received states that he was killed in action 14 July in France. Letter follows, Ulio, The Adjutant General".
