Mrs. India Hasten, age 87, of Bonham died Tuesday, Nov. 8th at Northeast Medical Center. // Graveside services will be conducted under the direction of Wise funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery (sic) in Ravenna.  Rev. Chief Warden will officiate.  //
Mrs. Hasten was born Feb. 25, 1901 in Athens, Alabama, the daughter of William Price Owen and Sallie Ann Menefee Owen. // She married Alvis Dewey Hasten Dec. 23, 1921 in Huntsville, Alabama.  He preceded her in death in 1964. // She married Alvis Dewey Hasten Dec. 23, 1921 in Huntsville, Alabama.  He preceded in her death in 1964. // Mrs. Hasten was a homemaker. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, and for many years she taught handicapped children.  // She is survived by one son, William Dewey Hasten of Bonham; one brother, Joseph Price Owen of Athens, AL; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren,and numerous nieces and nephews. // The family will be at Wise funeral Home from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday night.
