 Martha Jane Rogers Freeman was born June 19, 1867, in Henderson County, TN.  She was the daughter of Tobias Rogers and Nancy A.Moody.  Martha married John Washington Aldridge (aka John Washington Freeman) on December 11, 1884, in Decatur County,TN.  Martha and John moved back and forth between TN and TX.  Martha died on February 24, 1919, from the flu epidemic of the time and was buried in Grove Hill Cemetery.  Two of Martha's and John's children are also buried there.
 

John, Martha, and Ainey.  Pictured in the family photo taken in Leonard, TX, about 1894 are John Washington Freeman/Aldridge (b: 2-15-1864  d: 7-18-1941), Martha Jane Rogers Freeman (b: 6-19-1867  d: 2-24-1919), standing in the back William Tavner "Tav" Freeman (b: 8-26-1886  d: 10-31-1945), seated in the middle Alfred Tobias "Tobe" Freeman (b:
8-8-1888  d: 3-28-1979), and baby Oder Lee Freeman (b: 1-4-1893  d: 6-20-1962).

Ainey Drucilla Freeman was born March 31, 1904, and died October 4, 1918.  She also died from the flu epidemic.  Alberry W. "Berry" Freeman was born November 12, 1897, and died October 3, 1906.  Edith Goulia Freeman was the granddaughter of Martha and John.  Edith was born June 19, 1908, and died June 20, 1908.  She was the daughter of Alfred Tobias "Tobe" Freeman and Bettie Bertha Stapleton.  They are buried at Arledge Ridge Cemetery in Bonham.  John Washington Aldridge is buried in Judson Cemetery in Henderson County, TN.
